Job summary:
Reed College seeks an innovative, forward-thinking, and service-oriented archivist to work in Special Collections and Archives in the Eric V. Hauser Memorial Library. Special Collections and Archives is a lively, fun, and informal space that helps undergraduates, researchers, and visitors understand and appreciate Reed’s unique history and culture. The Archivist, under direction of the Head of Special Collections and Archives, acquire, preserve and make accessible the historical and cultural records of the college. The Archivist works closely with Reed students, faculty and staff to organize and process archival materials using standard archival procedures, and create accession records and finding aids for new and existing collections.
