Portland Community College Library is hiring on-call/part-time reference librarians at Cascade, Rock Creek, Southeast, and Sylvania campuses. Applicants need to be available for weekday evening and weekend shifts, and to work at all campuses. Present need is for on-call librarians who are available to work shifts on short notice. Applicants should be experienced in taking a teaching approach to reference. Part-time reference librarians assist students in using the tools of research, provide expertise and assistance in answering reference questions, staff the research help desk, including phone, email, and chat, and teach information literacy classes, with guidance from the department chair.
