Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) Library is seeking applications from librarians for the position of Director of Education, Research and Clinical Outreach. This role is a full-time faculty position located in Portland, Oregon.

Working in collaboration with Library leadership, staff across departments and the OHSU campus community, the Director of Education, Research and Clinical Outreach will develop and lead initiatives, partnerships and services for all learning communities at OHSU. This includes collaboration and curriculum development with faculty and administration; instructional and self-directed educational activities for learners; literature searching and reference support for research, quality improvement, clinical care, and other areas; citation and information management education and consultation; and outreach to alumni and unaffiliated health professionals. This individual works competently and sensitively with a broadly diverse constituency with regard to many facets of identity, including but not limited to gender, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation and religion.

The Director of Education, Research and Clinical Outreach participates in scholarship and service that contributes to the effectiveness of the Library, the University and the profession; monitors trends and standards relevant to providing education and information services; mentors library and Faculty, Instructor, Education, and Learning Development (FIELD) unit faculty; and provides in-person and online instructional activities and research support as appropriate.
