Come work with us at Forest Grove City Library! Our new Youth Services Librarian will focus on creating programs, collections, and services for children ages 0-12 and their families, but should also be comfortable working with youth up to ages 18. They will operate within a small team of reference staff, that includes a Library Supervisor, two Adult Librarians, and a Teen Librarian. After training, this employee will have  opportunities to: work on grant projects, order over $20,000 in library materials each year, create social media content, help us emerge from the pandemic and go back to more in-person children’s programs, and to serve local families in a variety of other ways. Our ideal candidate is a community-minded collaborator, someone who is passionate about early learning or school-aged programming, someone who loves children’s literature, and is also ready to help us reach out to our growing Hispanic populations. If you are a new library science graduate, or think you excel in a few of these areas, but perhaps not all, we encourage you to apply.
