The Interim Reference and Instruction Librarian – Social Sciences provides reference and information services for the University’s students and faculty as well as members of the general public; participates in a dynamic instructional program, including classroom and online instruction; consults and collaborates with scholars; and coordinates information resources to support the instructional and research needs of a diverse institution. This position will serve as an interim liaison to academic units such as Political Science and Criminology & Criminal Justice. This position will have regular evening and possibly some weekend shifts at the reference desk. Also, this position may teach occasional evening library instruction sessions, depending on the needs of the library and academic departments. This full-time, temporary, 12-month, non-tenure track faculty position reports to the Research & Instruction Services Manager. This position will also work closely with the Manager of Reference Services. This position covers liaison duties for a library faculty member on another assignment. It is scheduled to end June 30, 2023, but it may be eligible for an additional one year extension.
