Clinton is a small, close-knit, rural community on south Whidbey Island. The library works closely with the Clinton Friends of the Library group, community organizations, and local businesses. Community engagement efforts are underway to plan for the future of the Clinton Library and determine what services and spaces are needed by the community.
The Clinton Library Manager will work with people from diverse backgrounds, build and maintain relationships with library stakeholders and community leaders, and identify the best ways to meet varied customer needs. This position oversees circulation of library materials, display areas, library programming, outreach, reader’s advisory, technical assistance, reference, and facilities maintenance.
The library manager performs much of the day-to-day work of the library alongside other staff members and is regularly in charge of the library and its operation, which includes the supervision of library staff. This position is responsible for providing spaces that are welcoming, intentionally inclusive, and accessible to everyone.
