This position works with unit staff, librarians, library staff, library and bibliographic system vendors, the Orbis Cascade Alliance, and library users to facilitate library materials organization, discovery, and retrieval. Assists in establishing and maintaining ongoing authority control practices and procedures in accordance with local, regional, and national standards, including creation and submission of new authority records to the Library of Congress. This position will also be responsible for collecting pertinent data and providing reports for library units.Tasks are done largely independently with help as needed. Monitors, resolves, and answers user reported access and discovery problems online. Collaborates closely with other library units.
