The Eugene Public Library is seeking an enthusiastic, customer-centric addition to our Circulation team. The person in this position performs work that involves proactive and friendly patron service to all members of our community and responds to patron needs with positive solutions in person, via email, and over the telephone. Daily tasks include using computerized information systems to perform skilled clerical and routine paraprofessional library duties, such as responding to patron needs by providing accurate account management which includes card registration and renewal; money-handling and financial transactions; problem-solving; and material check-in and check-out. The successful candidate will also have strong communication and problem resolution skills. This position may be assigned to other work units in the library system. A high school diploma or GED is required along with one-year clerical experience including experience working with the public; experience in a Library setting preferred.
