We are looking for someone who can deliver a comprehensive training experience to new ByWater library partners in a new and exciting way without lecturing. Someone who is flexible and can “roll with it” (think internet crashing in the middle of your training or system down right after StoryTime lets out). Someone who has an arsenal of change management skills in their pocket. Someone who can get to the heart of the question by using your mad reference interview skills. The successful candidate will also be providing ongoing support of Koha to libraries through troubleshooting and analyzing workflow issues and possible solutions. This position requires an outgoing, confident individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Gladstone Public Library
The Gladstone Public Library is currently seeking an energetic and innovative Library Assistant II – Youth Services to perform a range of professional library services for library patrons from birth through grade 12 and their caregivers. The successful candidate will also plan, implement and carry out vibrant programs with a focus on early literacy development. Duties include reference and readers’ advisory, collection development, community outreach, development of weekly story times and the coordination of our summer reading program.

The New Friends of Beaverton City Library (NFBCL) is currently recruiting for a full-time manager to oversee all aspects of their operations. NFBCL own and operate The Book Corner, a cozy and unique book store located near City Park in downtown Beaverton. Our operations also include an Amazon storefront, large book sale events in the library, and other sales and promotions throughout the year. We are looking for someone who knows a lot about books, but even more about people; who is organized and efficient, who loves a good laugh, who brings out the best in volunteers, and who believes deeply in the mission of libraries. Oversees the development, implementation, evaluation and maintenance of a comprehensive external continuing education program for Georgia libraries using all available media and methods of delivery; works with libraries and the management team of GPLS to identify and evaluate needs for training programs, and develops a comprehensive long-range plan for continuing education; develops and delivers, or arranges for the delivery, of continuing education workshops for library directors, staff and trustees, as well as for GPLS staff.
