Brief description of position: As the Library Program Supervisor you will actively collaborate with colleagues in leadership at WCCLS to develop a culture of collaboration, outcome-based work, continuous improvement, and an engaged workforce. In this role, you will assist the Cooperative Library Services Manager in developing and achieving strategic priorities for the Cooperative. Your role will include supervising and supporting staff by connecting them to the Cooperative’s strategic priorities and ensuring that they are provided with the training and tools they need to be successful. You will evaluate, assess, and improve project and operational effectiveness to ensure we are meeting our strategic priorities.

We are hiring a part-time, temporary intern (paid) in our Portland office. Ideally it would be someone who has recently finished an MLS program or who is just finishing up their last couple of semesters.
The paid internship provides valuable training for an organized and responsible library and information science student who wants to become familiar with legal and corporate reference librarianship, which includes assisting with reference work, utilizing print and electronic resources, as well as gaining exposure to large law firm research administration and management.

Research and writing support are key instructional services across the university curriculum. The Undergraduate Writing Chair teaches writing and research skills in the classroom and in virtual and in-person one-on-one formats, develops and implements writing support programs, mentors and supervises student tutors, and collaborates closely with faculty librarians to integrate research and writing support. This position includes teaching WR 308 Advanced Research Writing as well as teaching writing courses in the summer Bridge Program and coordinating the Bridge Program in collaboration with the Library Administrative Assistant.
