The purpose of this position is to help manage the day-to-day circulation activities at the Tran Library on the Forest Grove campus, assisting students, faculty, and staff with their library service needs. The Circulation Supervisor, in collaboration with the Circulation Manager, is responsible for training and supervising student employees during all open hours for which the Circulation Supervisor is the lead worker. This is a permanent benefit-eligible position, working 40 hours per week. Typical scheduled days are Sunday-Thursday.

The Circulation Evening Supervisor performs a variety of specialized duties including taking the lead in facilitating the processing of electronic reserve materials and student scheduling. Overseeing the activities within the Circulation Unit during the evening hours, the Evening Supervisor directs the work of 2 to 3 student workers at the Service Desk and serves as the supervisor for the Digital Lab and the Research Desk student employees when their supervisors are absent. The Evening Supervisor coordinates the training of new students during the evening shift, and facilitates shelving, shelf reading, stacks maintenance, course reserves, and consortial borrowing during that time.
