Portland State University Library is seeking applicants to add a few individuals to its existing pool of part-time, temporary reference librarians starting Fall 2016. Duties include: providing reference services (in person and online), on-call instruction, or developing or revising online tutorials, videos, and other informational resources for students, faculty and the public at a busy urban academic library. Shifts include weekday mornings, afternoons, and evenings, and weekend afternoons. Shifts are on a regular schedule and each librarian would work one or more shifts per week. There are also some on-call opportunities.

Wilsonville Public Library
The Library Operations Manager supervises the day to day operations of the Library, including circulation, technical services and shelving. The position is assisted by three work leaders who help guide services in each of those areas. The Library Operations Manager reports to the Library Director. The successful candidate will have a strong record of supervision, as well as a detailed knowledge of cataloging and technical services, merchandising and customer service. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and eager to create efficiencies within the library, and to work to improve customer experience.

The director of collection services has primary responsibility for building and managing library collections that serve curricular and research needs of the academic program. Collection services encompasses acquisitions, cataloging, serials, electronic resources, and effective access to and management of all collections. The next director will help shape the library’s integration of print, digital, and licensed electronic collections for Reed students, faculty, and staff.
