Description: The Tigard Public Library seeks a manager to focus on creating and maintaining a safe, inclusive environment for library users. This manager will work to ensure that library users have a welcoming experience at service desks and in library spaces. The person in this senior management role will lead the Person in Charge team, oversee trainings, and serve as a supervisor for library employees. Our ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver, a customer service expert, a knowledgeable librarian trained in trauma-informed care principles and de-escalation techniques, an excellent supervisor, and is comfortable with ambiguity and change.
