Description: Under the general direction of the Director of Teaching and Learning Services, and in consultation with the Head of Undergraduate Instruction, the Research and Instruction Librarian will collaborate with colleagues within the library and across campus to contribute to the library’s in-person and online instruction and reference services.
As a member of a collaborative and supportive librarian team, they will contribute to the library’s Teaching and Learning program by collaborating with faculty to provide course-integrated information literacy instruction at Cascadia College and UW Bothell. They will develop, deliver, and assess information literacy instruction utilizing learning technologies, active learning strategies, and inclusive and culturally responsive pedagogies in support of student learning. They will have access to shared instructional resources but also autonomy to experiment and to explore pedagogical interests. Managing workload and multiple priorities or deadlines are essential to doing this work, as are effective
interpersonal communication, consultation, flexibility, creativity, and cooperation.
